Return of Serve
In order to have a succesful return of serve, players need to have two plans of the shot they want to execute. One is a "balanced shot", the other an "emergency shot." The "balanced" shot is a planned stroke wich could be crosscourt, down the line, lob or drop shot and is executed when the player feels that she is in control of the ball. The "emergency" shot is when the player is not in control of the ball and they are just happy to get the ball over the net and in play. Whenever possible, always plan your return of serve.
